c) REPORT AWARD OF CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR CIP 195 CITY\n23-0209 SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS AND CIP 760 TREE WELL GRATES\nTO GENTRY GENERAL ENGINEERING, INC.\n(Public Works Director Joe SanClemente)\nRecommendation: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Award a construction contract for sidewalk, curb ramps, ADA improvements, and tree\nwell grates to Gentry General Engineering, Inc. in the amount of $194,031 (Attachment\n4);\n2. Appropriate additional funds from the Capital Improvement Fund in the amount of\n$45,580 to CIP 195 City Sidewalk Improvements;\n3. Authorize the Director of Public Works to establish a project contingency amount of\n$40,000 and approve contract change orders up to the amount of the approved contract\ncontingency;\n4. Adopt the attached resolution entitled "A Resolution of The City Council of the City of\nHermosa Beach Approving the Construction of CIP 195 City Sidewalk Improvements &\nCIP 760 Tree Well Grates Pursuant to Government Code Section 830.6 and Establishing\na Project Payment Account" (Attachment 3);\n5. Authorize the Mayor to execute the construction contract and the City Clerk to attest,\nsubject to approval by the City Attorney; and\n6. Authorize the Director of Public Works to file a Notice of Completion following final\ncompletion of the project.
