9E. ACCEPTANCE OF CITY OF STANTON COMMUNITY CENTER IMPROVEMENT\nPROJECT – BACKUP GENERATOR (TASK CODE NO. 2023-603) BY THE CITY\nCOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STANTON, CALIFORNIA\nThe City of Stanton Community Center Improvement Project – Backup Generator which\nconsisted of the installation of a backup generator, separately purchased by the City, is\nnow complete. The final construction cost for the project totaled $338,608.00. The City\nEngineer, in his best judgment, certifies that the work was satisfactorily completed as of\nApril 17, 2026. It is recommended that the City Council accept the completed work\nperformed on this project.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\n1. City Council declare that this project is categorically exempt under the California\nEnvironmental Quality Act (“CEQA”), Class 1, Section 15301(a) as operation, repair,\nand minor interior or exterior alterations of existing public facilities; and\n2. Accept the completion of the Stanton Community Center Improvement Project –\nBackup Generator, as certified by the City Engineer, and affix the date of completion\nof April 17, 2026 as the date of completion of all work associated with this project; and\n3. Approve the final cost of construction for the contract amount of $338,608.00 with\nLeddy Power Systems, Inc.; and\n4. Direct the City Clerk within ten (10) days from the date of acceptance to file the Notice\nof Completion (Attachment) with the County Clerk-Recorder of the County of Orange;\nand\n5. Direct City staff, after thirty-five (35) days has elapsed from the filing of the “Notice of\nCompletion” with the County Clerk-Recorder, to make the retention payment to Leddy\nPower Systems, Inc. in the amount of $15,678.52.
