18. AMENDMENT TO THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE\nALHAMBRA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICERS\nFOR FY 2026-2027– F2M20-57, C2M20-37, M2M26-90\nOn May 11, 2026, City Council approved the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with\nthe Alhambra Unified School District (AUSD) to continue to School Resource Officer\n(SRO) Program for Fiscal Year 2026-2027, contingent upon entry into a reimbursement\nagreement for the cost of such services with AUSD. AUSD has requested to change the\nannual not to exceed amount from $526,248 to $400,000.\nRecommended Action: City Council approve an amendment to the Memorandum of\nUnderstanding (MOU) with the Alhambra Unified School District (AUSD) to continue the\nSchool Resource Officer (SRO) Program for Fiscal Year 2026-2027, contingent upon entry\ninto a reimbursement agreement for the cost of such services with AUSD in an amount\nnot to exceed $400,000; authorize the Chief of Police to execute the Amendment to the\nMemorandum of Understanding; and direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to\nfinalize Council’s action.
