34. AWARD OF CONTRACT WITH GALLS, LLC FOR THE PURCHASE OF FIRE\nDEPARTMENT PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE), UNIFORMS AND\nESSENTIALS – F2M26-6B, C2M26-39, M2M26-104\nThe Fire Department has a contract with Galls LLC, and is very satisfied with their\ncustomer service, their vast range of PPE, uniforms and essentials and their quick turn-\naround time, which is imperative when it comes to uniforms for first responders. The\ncontract is due to expire on June 30, 2026. The Fire Department would like to continue to\nwork with Galls LLC, and has an opportunity to piggyback on Sourcewell Contract 010424-\nAlhambra Municipal Code 3.36.080(B), bidding exemption is authorized, and the City may\n“piggy back” onto an existing contract.\nRecommended Action: City Council approve a contract with Galls LLC, subject to\nfinal language approval by the City Manager and the City Attorney, for the purchase of\nFire Department Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), uniforms and essentials in an\namount not to exceed $113,000.00 annually, commencing on July 1, 2026 and terminating\nJune 30, 2028, including three one-year extensions, although the City Manager can\nterminate on 60 days’ notice at any time (with extensions subject to satisfactory vendor\nperformance and future budget allocations); and, direct staff to undertake the steps\nnecessary to finalize Council’s action.
