14. AUTHORIZE RFP: PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE DESIGN OF\nA CHLORINATION SYSTEM AT MARENGO RESERVOIR – F2M26-31, RFP2M26-7\nThe Marengo Reservoir Chlorination and Mixing Equipment System monitors the chlorine\nresidual at each of the four reservoirs and maintains it at optimum levels. Due to the\nexisting infrastructure being over 20 years old, parts are obsolete and difficult to locate.\nThis project will replace the aging chlorination equipment with modern technology to\nimprove water quality and lower maintenance costs. The design includes a new building,\nchlorination and mixing equipment, and related appurtenances.\nRecommended Action: City Council approve the distribution of a Request for\nProposals (RFP) for Professional Engineering Services for the design of a chlorination\nsystem at Marengo Reservoir, with proposals due no later than 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday,\nJuly 14, 2026; and, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize the Council’s\naction.
