10.9 Consideration of Award of Construction Contract for the Ford Park Playground And\nRestroom Improvements - CIP No. 3926\nRECOMMENDATION: It is staff’s recommendation that the City Council:\n1. Award a construction contract to KASA Construction Inc. in the amount of\n$2,297,509 for the Ford Park Playground and Restroom Improvements\nProject (CIP No. 3926); and\n2. Authorize the Acting City Manager to execute the Construction Contract\nand approve change orders that may be necessary during construction to\ncover any unforeseen condition in an amount not to exceed 5% of the\nconstruction contract; and\n3. Appropriate an additional $265,125 in General Funds to cover all\nconstruction and project management costs.\nATTACHMENTS:\nExhibit 1 - Construction Contract
