(10) 26-0795\nPERSONNEL AND HIRING COMMITTEE REPORT and ORDINANCE\nIRST CONSIDERATION relative to amending Schedule A of Los\nAngeles Administrative Code (LAAC) Section 4.61, to provide salaries\nfor the new, non-represented classifications of Accountant Assistant\n(Class Code 1612) and Director of Environmental Management (Class\nCode 7321).\nRecommendations for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL\nOF THE MAYOR:\n1. PRESENT and ADOPT the accompanying ORDINANCE dated\nMay 20, 2026, approved as to form and legality by the City\nAttorney, amending Schedule A of LAAC Section 4.61, to\nprovide salaries for the new, non-represented classifications of\nAccountant Assistant (Class Code 1612) and Director of\nEnvironmental Management (Class Code 7321).\n2. AUTHORIZE the City Administrative4 Officer (CAO), upon\naccretion of the classes to a bargaining unit, to correct the\nappropriate Memorandum of Understanding to reflect the\nsalaries approved by Ordinance.\n3. AUTHORIZE the Controller and the CAO to correct any clerical\nor technical errors in the above Ordinance.\nFiscal Impact Statement: The CAO reports that the cost associated\nwith filling Accountant Assistant and Director of Environmental\nManagement positions will be absorbed within budgeted funds by the\nemploying departments for Fiscal Year 2026-27.
