10A.Public Works – Adopt Categorical Exemption Under California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Sections 15061(b)(3) and 15301,
and Authorize Execution of Relinquishment Agreement 07-5364
with the State of California Department of Transportation for the
Relinquishment of the Porton of SR-107 (Hawthorne Boulevard)
Within the City’s Jurisdiction. Expenditures: None.
Recommendation of the Public Works Director that City Council:
1. Adopt a finding that the project is categorically exempt under
the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to
State CEQA Guidelines Sections 15061(b)(3) and 15301; and
2. Authorize execution of Relinquishment Agreement 07-5364 with
the State of California Department of Transportation (Caltrans)
to relinquish the portion of State Route 107 (Hawthorne Blvd)
within the City’s jurisdiction from Caltrans to the City of
Torrance.
