11. AWARD A CONTRACT TO KORDICH CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR REPAIR OF CRITICAL STRUCTURAL DAMAGE TO A 52-INCH AND 24-INCH CORRUGATED METAL PIPES (CMP) STORM DRAIN AT PARKWOOD AVENUE, CITY PROJECT NO. 1-D-26 That the City Council: A. Waive the formal bidding requirements per La Habra Municipal Code Chapter 4.20.120; B. Award a construction contract to Kordich Construction, Inc. of Cypress, California, for the repair of the 52-inch and the 24-inch Corrugated Metal Pipes (CMP) storm drain at Parkwood Avenue, City Project No. 1-D-26, in an amount not to exceed $220,000.00, and reject all other bids; C. Authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement with Kordich Construction, Inc., and authorize staff to issue a purchase order to Kordich Construction, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $220,000.00, which includes a $15,020 contingency, for the repair of the 52-inch and 24-inch Corrugated Metal Pipes (CMP) storm drain at Parkwood Avenue; and, D. Approve an appropriation of $220,000.00 from the City's General Capital Improvement fund balance to fully fund the cost of this project.
