F.1. REVIEW OF HIGH-FREQUENCY TOWING LOCATIONS [J. HEILMAN]: SUBJECT: The City Council will consider directing staff to review high- frequency towing locations to reduce the burden and costs that towing can incur, especially on residents, and to make recommendations for improved signage, lighting, and/or other solutions that would make it clearer to drivers that towing in those locations is a possibility. RECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Direct staff to review high-frequency towing locations to reduce the burden and costs that towing can incur, especially on residents; 2) Direct staff to make recommendations for improved signage, lighting, and/or other solutions that would make it clearer to drivers that towing in high-frequency towing locations is a possibility; and 3) Direct staff to also review other areas, such as existing valet zones that are no longer being operated, to remove them or to make improvements.
