6. 2026 STRATEGIC PLAN UPDATE – F2M26-27 On April 13, 2026, the City Council approved the 2026 Strategic Plan following two special City Council meetings that were conducted to review and update the goals and objectives that were previously established in the 2025 Strategic Plan. The 2026 Strategic Plan contains six Goals: Goal 1: Enhance Public Safety; Goal 2: Improve Infrastructure and Mobility; Goal 3: Create a Strong Financial Base and Strong Economic Base (Economic Development); Goal 4: Enhance Transparency and Open Governance; Goal 5: Promote Sustainability; and, Goal 6: Improve Housing Opportunities. Staff will continue to present quarterly updates to the Council and will diligently work through Strategic Plan goals and individual items to enable important progress. Recommended Action: City Council receive and file the 2026 Strategic Plan update.
