3.A.7. Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance No. 23-02 (Title 17 - Section,\nSection 17.405.060 - Accessory Dwelling Units)\nRECOMMENDATION:\nStaff recommends that the City Council:\n1. DETERMINE that the California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”) does\nnot apply to the approval or adoption of an Ordinance by a city or county\nimplementing the provisions of section 65852.2 of the Government Code,\nwhich is California’s ADU law, pursuant to California Public Resources Code\nsection 21080.17; and therefore, Ordinance No. 23-02 is statutorily exempt\nfrom the CEQA; and,\n2.
