41. Settlement of the Matter Entitled, Jayvonte George v. County of Los
Angeles, et al.
Los Angeles County Claims Board's recommendation: Authorize settlement of
the matter entitled, Jayvonte George v. County of Los Angeles, et al., Los
Angeles Superior Court Case No. 23STCV29933, in the amount of $250,000;
and instruct the Auditor-Controller to draw a warrant to implement this settlement
from the Sheriff's Department's budget.
This lawsuit arises from alleged emotional and physical injuries sustained when
Plaintiff was detained and arrested by the Sheriff's Department. (26-4577)
