43. Settlement of the Matter Entitled, April Herrera v. Los Angeles County, et al.
Los Angeles County Claims Board's recommendation: Authorize settlement of
the matter entitled, April Herrera v. Los Angeles County, et al., United States
District Court, Case No. 2:24-CV-01959, in the amount of $375,000; and
instruct the Auditor-Controller to draw a warrant to implement this settlement
from the Sheriff's Department's budget.
This Federal lawsuit alleges Plaintiff sustained physical and emotional injuries
by a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Deputy. (26-4574)
