45. Settlement of the Matter Entitled, Christopher Prevedello v. County of Los
Angeles, et al.
Los Angeles County Claims Board's recommendation: Authorize settlement of
the matter entitled, Christopher Prevedello v. County of Los Angeles, et al.,
United States District Court Case No. 2:23-CV-08435, in the amount of
$490,000; and instruct the Auditor-Controller to draw a warrant to implement this
settlement from the Sheriff's Department's budget.
This lawsuit arises from injuries sustained by Plaintiff due to alleged negligence

58. Newhall School District Levying of Taxes
Request from the Newhall School District: Adopt a resolution authorizing the
County to levy taxes in an amount sufficient to pay the principal of, and interest
on, the School Facilities Improvement District No. 2011-1 of Newhall School
District 2026 Refunding General Obligation Bonds (Forward Delivery) (Bonds),
in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $50,000,000; and direct the
Auditor-Controller to maintain on the 2026-27 tax roll, and all subsequent tax
rolls, taxes sufficient to fulfill the requirements of the debt service schedule for
the Bonds that will be provided to the Auditor-Controller by the District following
the sale of the Bonds. ADOPT (26-4584)

62. County Code, Title 5 - Personnel Ordinance Amendment
Ordinance for introduction amending County Code, Title 5 - Personnel, to
temporarily amend Civil Service Rules 2, 4, 12, 18, and 26 for the duration of
the Probation Department emergency to assist Probation in adequately
managing its employees in Probation sworn classifications to maintain a safe
environment for youth during the staffing shortage; grant the Director of
Personnel authority over disciplining sworn classifications in the department;
and add a definition to specify what positions are affected by the rule revisions.

63. County Code, Title 6 - Salaries Ordinance Amendment
Ordinance for introduction amending County Code, Title 6 - Salaries relating to
the Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association (LACERA) by,
amending Tier I and Tier II Management Appraisal and Performance Plan
Salary Structure Tables specific to LACERA; and changing the salaries and/or
effective dates of various LACERA non-represented classes to denote class
designation changes in conjunction with the Tier I and Tier II Management
Appraisal and Performance Plan; and reflect a 4.5%, 4%, and 4% general
salary adjustment effective January 1, 2026, 2027, and 2028, respectively, for
non-represented LACERA classifications applicable only to LACERA and a
4.5%, 4%, and 4% salary adjustment effective January 1, 2026, 2027, and
2028, respectively, for classifications subject to the provisions of the
