10.G. Library Elevator Modernization – Award of Contract
It is recommended that the City Council consider:
1. Authorizing the City Manager to execute a public works contract, in a form approved
by the City Attorney, with Maverick Elevator Service CA LLC, in the amount of
$175,173.00 for the Library Elevator Modernization, Specification No. 2026-004;
2. Authorizing the Public Works Director to approve change orders in an amount not to
exceed $17,517 (10%) over the total contract amount; and
3. Taking such additional, related action that may be desirable.
CEQA (California Environmental Quality Act):
The proposed project is categorically exempt from the requirements of the California
Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”) pursuant to 14 California Code of Regulations § 15301
as a Class 1 categorical exemption (Existing Facilities).
