(37) 26-2000 RESOLUTION (HARRIS-DAWSON - BLUMENFIELD) relative to City Council Committees and Committee structure. Recommendation for Council action: ADOPT the accompanying RESOLUTION, to resolve, that: 1. Pursuant to Section 242(b) of the Los Angeles City Charter, the City Council is hereby organized into the following committees overseeing the functions of government listed thereunder, and the President of the City Council is authorized to appoint members for each committee: Arts, Parks, and City Facilities Budget & Finance Civil Rights, Immigration, Social Services and Neighborhoods Economic Development, and Jobs Energy & Environment Government Efficiency, Innovation, and Audits Homelessness & Health Housing Personnel & Hiring Planning and Land Use Management Public Safety Public Works Rules, Elections, and Intergovernmental Relations Trade, Travel, and Tourism Transportation Ad Hoc Committee on the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games Ad Hoc Committee on Unarmed Crisis Prevention, Intervention, and Community Services Ad Hoc Committee for Film, Entertainment, and Creative Industry Ad Hoc Committee for LA Recovery Ad Hoc Committee for Boyle Heights Fire Recovery Ad Hoc Committee for Charter Review 2. RESOLVE, that the Ad Hoc Committee on Unarmed Crisis Prevention, Intervention, and Community Services, the Ad Hoc Committee on the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Ad Hoc Committee for LA Recovery, and the Ad Hoc Committee for Film, Entertainment, and Creative Industry are hereby re- authorized; a new Ad Hoc Committee for Charter Review is hereby created to consider potential City process changes or City Charter revisions; and a new Ad Hoc Committee for Boyle Heights Fire Recovery is hereby created to provide oversight of aid, response, and recovery efforts related to the June 2026 fire at the Lineage warehouse.
