6I. RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STANTON, CALIFORNIA,\nPRELIMINARILY APPROVING THE ENGINEER’S REPORT FOR THE ANNUAL\nLEVY OF ASSESSMENTS FOR STANTON LIGHTING AND LANDSCAPING\nDISTRICT NO. 1 FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023-24\nOn January 24, 2023, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2023-02, initiating\nproceedings for the annual levy of assessments and ordered the Engineer to prepare a\nreport in accordance with Section 22565 et seq. of the State of California Streets and\nHighways Code. The Engineer has filed a report with the City Clerk in compliance with\nCouncil direction. The proposed resolution would preliminarily approve the report.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\n1. City Council find that this item is not subject to California Environmental Quality Act\n(“CEQA”) pursuant to Sections 15060(c)(2) (the activity will not result in a direct or\nreasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment) and\n15060(c)(3) (the activity is not a project as defined in Section 15378(b)(4) of the\nCEQA Guidelines, California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Chapter 3, because it\nhas no potential for resulting in physical change to the environment, directly, or\nindirectly); and\n2. Adopt Resolution No. 2023-07, preliminarily approving the Engineer’s Report for the\nannual levy of assessments for the Stanton Lighting and Landscaping District No. 1\nfor Fiscal Year 2023-24, entitled:\n“A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STANTON,\nCALIFORNIA, PRELIMINARILY APPROVING THE ENGINEER’S\nREPORT FOR THE ANNUAL LEVY OF ASSESSMENTS FOR\nSTANTON LIGHTING AND LANDSCAPING DISTRICT NO. 1 FOR THE\nFISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 2023, AND ENDING JUNE 30,\n2024.”\nMay 9, 2023
