9A. FIREWORKS EDUCATIONAL CAMPAIGN\nStaff is seeking direction regarding the continuation of the annual Fireworks Education\nCampaign for 2023.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\n1. City Council find that the action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality\nAct (“CEQA”) under Section 15061(b)(3) of the State CEQA Guidelines as the\nactivity is covered by the general rule that CEQA applies only to projects which have\nthe potential for causing significant effect on the environment. Where is can be seen\nwith certainty that there is no possibility that the activity in question may have a\nsignificant effect on the environment, the activity is not subject to CEQA; and\n2. Provide direction to implement, modify, or eliminate the annual Fireworks Education\nCampaign.
