CC 5. Construction Award of Bid - PWCP 23-010 Sierra Highway Resurfacing\nRecommendation(s):\n1. PWCP 23-010, Sierra Hwy Resurfacing, to R.C. Becker & Son, Inc. of Santa Clarita,\nCalifornia, in the amount of $1,259,736.64 plus a 20% contingency, to repair and resurface\napproximately two and a half (2.5) lane-miles of streets, as part of the City’s Pavement\nManagement Program (PMP). Authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to sign all\ndocuments. This contract is awarded to the lowest responsible bidder per California Public\nContract Code Section 22038 (b).\n2. Find that the City has complied with the California Environmental Quality Act. A Notice\nof Exemption was filed on January 31, 2019.\nThe proposed project, as part of the City’s Pavement Management Program (PMP), will\ninclude approximately 2.5 lane-miles of roadway repair and resurfacing along Sierra Hwy\nCITY OF LANCASTER, CALIFORNIA\nfrom Avenue I to Lancaster Boulevard.
