Item 138: Authorization for the Library Department to Accept, Appropriate, and Expend\nGrant Funding from the California State Library for Construction of the New Oak\nPark Branch Library, Expansion of the Current Ocean Beach Branch Library,\nCompletion of an In-Depth Feasibility Study for the University Community Branch\nLibrary and Completion of Preliminary Design for the New San Carlos Branch\nLibrary.\nTotal Estimated Cost of Proposed Action and Funding Source:\nThe Library Department is seeking City Council Approval to apply for, accept and expend\na total of $27,900,000 in grant funding from the California State Library. The grant funds\nwill fund construction of a new Oak Park Branch Library and expansion of the current\nOcean Beach Branch Library.
