5. ADOPTION OF MEMORANDA OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE\n3\nBELL GARDENS CITY EMPLOYEE'S ASSOCIATION (CEA)\nThe City commenced labor negotiations with the CEA in March 2023. After several negotiations\nsessions, the City has now reached a tentative agreement with the CEA on successor Memoranda\nof Understanding (MOU) for the period commencing on June 1, 2023 continuing through May 31,\n2026, subject to City Council approval.\nRecommendation:\nThat the City Council, by motion, approve the attached resolution adopting Memoranda of\nUnderstanding between the City of Bell Gardens and the Bell Gardens City Employees\nAssociation (CEA) commencing on June 1, 2023, and continuing through May 31, 2026.
