J. THEATRE RENTAL FEE WAIVER REQUEST BY ASIAN ARTS TALENTS\nFOUNDATION\nThe Asian Arts Talents Foundation (AATF) has requested a waiver of the theatre\nrental fee for their upcoming free performance on Saturday, June 17, 2023. Staff\nrecommends that the City Council approve AATF’s request to waive the San\nGabriel Mission Playhouse rental fee of $3,130 for the performance day and\nrehearsal of the upcoming community performance. Since the budgeted rental\nsubsidy account is insufficient to cover the requested amount, staff is\nrequesting that Council increase the subsidy to cover this request. The subsidy\nwould need to be increased by $3,130 to cover the requested fee waiver of\n$3,130.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council:\n1. Approve staff’s recommendation to grant a partial waiver of the San Gabriel\nMission Playhouse rental fee in the amount of $3,130.00 for the June 17th\nperformance day and rehearsal of AATF’s upcoming community\nperformance.\n2. Adopt Resolution No. 23-39 amending the Fiscal Year 2022-23 budget to\nincrease account number 152-3532 by $3,130 to cover the requested fee\nwaiver.
