DIR-2021-8570-BSA-1A Council District: 11 – Park\nCEQA: N/A Last Day to Act: N/A\nPlan Area: Brentwood – Pacific Palisades\nPROJECT SITE: 824 North Kenter Avenue\nThe Property Owner is requesting that the matter be continued to a date certain of July 19, 2023.\nOn October 4, 2022, pursuant to City Charter Section 245, the Los Angeles City Council adopted a motion\n(Bonin-Buscaino) asserting jurisdiction over the September 7, 2022, West Los Angeles Area Planning\nCommission (WLA APC) action that denied an appeal of various building permits issued for the project\nlocated at 824 North Kenter Avenue. Upon assertion of that jurisdiction, the City Council vetoed the above\naction of the WLA APC and remanded this matter back to the WLA APC for reconsideration. (Council File\nNo. 22-1124). The details of the appeal which is the subject of reconsideration are as follows:\nPROPOSED PROJECT:\nAppeal of building permits issued for the construction of a new four-story single-family dwelling with\nattached garage, storage, recreation room, accessory dwelling unit, retaining and planter walls, deck,\nwater fountain, pool, and spa.\nAPPEAL:\nAn appeal of the June 13, 2022, a Planning Director’s Determination which:\n1. Denied, pursuant to Section 12.26 K of the Los Angeles Municipal Code, an appeal to the Director of\nPlanning alleging that the Department of Building and Safety (LADBS) erred and abused its discretion\nin by issuing Building Permit No. 18010-30000-03098 for a new four-story single-family dwelling with\nattached garage, storage, recreation room and an accessory dwelling unit; Building Permit No. 18030-\n30000-04200 for grading for a single-family dwelling, retaining wall and deck; Building Permit\nNo.18020-30000-01813 for a water fountain; Building Permit No. 18020-30000-01812 for shoring for\nbasement and retaining wall excavation; Building Permit No. 18020-30000-01811 for retaining wall\nand planter walls; and Building Permit No. 18047-30000-01149 for new pool and spa; and\n2.
