14.A Public Hearing to Consider Establishing City of Hemet Community 621 - 699\nFacilities District No. 2023-01 (Morgan Crossing), to Establish an\nAppropriations Limit, Therefore, to Authorize the Submittal of the Levy of\nSpecial Taxes, to Submit the Establishment of an Appropriations Limit to\nthe Qualified Electors of Such Community Facilities District; Calling a\nSpecial Election and Submitting to the Qualified Electors of City of\nHemet Community Facilities District No. 2023-01 (Morgan Crossing)\nPropositions Regarding the Establishment of an Appropriations Limit\nand the Annual Levy of a Special Tax Within the Community Facilities\nDistrict; and, Declaring the Results of a Special Election in City of Hemet\nCommunity Facilities District No. 2023-01 (Morgan Crossing) and\nDirecting the Recording of a Notice of Special Tax Lien, Generally\nlocated between Stetson Avenue, South Cawston Avenue, West\nThornton Avenue, and Warren Road.\nStaff Report #23-172 - Pdf\nRecommendation:\nIt is respectfully recommended that the City Council:\n1. Open the Public Hearing and take testimony, if any; and,\n2. Adopt a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Hemet,\nCalifornia, to establish City of Hemet Community Facilities District\nNo. 2023-01 (Morgan Crossing), to establish an appropriations\nlimit therefore, to authorize the submittal of the levy of special\ntaxes, and to submit the establishment of an appropriations limit,\nto the qualified electors of such Community Facilities District;\nand,\n3. Adopt a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Hemet,\nCalifornia, calling a special election and submitting to the\nqualified electors of City of Hemet Community Facilities District\nNo. 2023- 01 (Morgan Crossing) propositions regarding the\nestablishment of an appropriations limit and the annual levy of a\nspecial tax within the Community Facilities District; and\n4. Adopt a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Hemet,\nCalifornia, declaring the results of a special election in City of\nHemet Community Facilities District No. 2023-01 (Morgan\nCrossing) and directing the recording of a notice of special tax\nlien; and\n5. Waive full reading, read by title only, and introduce an Ordinance\nentitled, An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Hemet,\nCalifornia, acting in its capacity as the legislative body of City of\nHemet Community Facilities District No. 2023-01 (Morgan\nCrossing) authorizing the levy of a special tax therein.
