8. RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE FISCAL YEAR 2023-24 BUDGET - A proposed budget was\nsubmitted and discussed during the City Council Budget Study Session held on June 5, 2023. Council\ndirected staff to allocate the $125,000 of Measure LV funds, program $310,950 of unfunded\ndepartment requests to the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds and increase the General Fund\nsurplus from $107,000 to $221,558 after shifting some expenses to the current year for total\nappropriations of $104,144,155 across all funds. Adopting Resolution No. 23-34 will officially adopt the\n2023-24 budget.\nRecommendation: That the City Council adopt resolution No. 23-34 adopting the budget for the 2023-\n24 fiscal year.
