Public Works – Adopt Categorical Exemption Under California Environmental\nQuality Act (CEQA) and Award Public Works Agreement for Resurfacing of\nRailroad Bridge Crossing Over Hawthorne Bridge, North of 190th St. Project.\nExpenditure: Not-to-Exceed $144,427 (General Fund).\nRecommendation of the Public Works Director that City Council:\n1) Adopt finding of a categorical exemption, pursuant to Section 15301(d) of the California\nEnvironmental Quality Act (CEQA); and\n2) Approve the specifications for the Resurfacing of Railroad Bridge Crossing Over\nHawthorne Bridge, North of 190th St. Project (B2023-06); and\n3) Waive minor irregularities in the bid proposed by Harbor Coating & Restoration, Inc.; and\n4) Award a public works agreement to Harbor Coating & Restoration, Inc. of Orange, CA\n(B2023-06) in the amount of $137,550 and authorize a 5% contingency in the amount\nof $6,877 for the construction of the project for a two-year period beginning\nJune 20, 2023 and ending June 19, 2025.
