24. RESCIND CONTRACT NO. C2M23-23 AND AUTHORIZE THE RE-CIRCULATION OF\nA NOTICE INVITING BIDS FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT STATION 71 WOMEN’S\nLOCKER/BATHROOM REMODEL PROJECT – F2M23-23, C2M23-23, N2M23-77,\nM2M23-107\nOn April 24, 2023, a contract was awarded to Dynasty Builder’s Inc. for the Alhambra Fire\nDepartment Station 71 Women’s Locker/Bathroom Remodel Project. However, on June\n2, 2023, Dynasty Builders Inc. informed the City they could no longer fulfill the contract\ndue to unforeseen circumstances related to their available workforce and expertise. Staff\nis recommending the contract issued to Dynasty Builders, Inc. be cancelled and a Notice\nInviting Bids for the Fire Station 71 Women’s Locker/Bathroom Remodel Project be re-\ncirculated.\n15\n6-26-23\nRecommended Action: City Council rescind Contract No. C2M23-23 awarded to\nDynasty Builders, Inc.; authorize the re-circulation of a Notice Inviting Bids for the\nAlhambra Fire Department Station 71 Women’s Locker/Bathroom Remodel Project, with\nbids due no later than 10:30 a.m. on July 27, 2023; determine the project is exempt from\nCEQA pursuant to CEQA guidelines section 15301; and, direct staff to undertake the steps\nnecessary to finalize Council’s action.
