AWARD CONTRACT: PURCHASE OF ONE CEMENT MIXER TRUCK – F2M23-6A,\nN2M23-50, C2M23-47, M2M23-97\nOn May 8, 2023, the City Council approved the distribution of Notice Inviting Bids for the\npurchase of a Cement Mixer truck. Staff posted the bid on the City’s website and emailed\nthe Notice directly to known heavy truck vendors and manufacturers. On Thursday, May\n25, 2023 the City Clerk received one bid for the purchase of a Cement Mixer Truck. The\nbid received from Los Angeles Truck Center DBA Velocity Truck Center., in the amount\n9\n6-26-23\nof $295,255.69 was the only bid received. Staff has reviewed the bid and found it is in full\ncompliance and conformance with the bid specifications.\nRecommended Action: City Council award a contract., subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney, to Los Angeles Truck Center LLC, DBA\nVelocity Truck Center in an amount of $295,255.69 for the purchase of (1) one cement\nmixer truck; and, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.\n(M2M23-97)
