14. APPROVE CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER: TRAFFIC SIGNAL AND STREET\nLIGHTING MAINTENANCE SERVICES – F2M20-9, C2M20-27, M2M23-102\nOn July 13, 2020, the City Council awarded a contract to Siemens in the amount of\n$200,000.00 for the Traffic Signal and Street Lighting Maintenance Services. On July 12,\n2021, the City Council amended the existing contract with SIEMENS Mobility Inc. to\ninclude a company name change to YUNEX LLC and extend the contract in an amount\nnot to exceed $200,000 from July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023. This past year we have\nexperienced an increase of vehicle accidents with our facilities along with the age and\nenvironmental degradation of our facilities causing an increase of required responses and\nrepairs over previous years. A change order to the total contract amount is needed to\ncontinue the City’s ability to provide Traffic Signal and Street Lighting Maintenance for the\nremainder of this fiscal year, through June 30, 2023. The latest invoices received will\n11\n6-26-23\nexpend the fiscal year 2022-2023 contract amount for Traffic Signal and Street Lighting\nMaintenance, leaving two months of billing outstanding. Staff anticipates the remaining\ninvoices to average $30,000.00 per month to continue to provide Traffic Signal and Street\nLighting Maintenance service.\nRecommended Action: City Council approve a Change Order in the amount of\n$60,000 for Traffic Signal and Street Lighting Maintenance Services contract (C2M20-27)\nthat was awarded to YUNEX; direct the Finance Director to appropriate $60,000 from the\nPublic Works Maintenance Improvement District Fund balance and allocate the funds into\naccount number 241.70.7631.62210; and, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to\nfinalize Council’s action.
