28. AWARD CONTRACT: PROFESSIONAL LANDSCAPE DESIGN REVIEW\nCONSULTING SERVICES – F2M23-39, RFP2M23-13, C2M23-53, M2M23-110\nOn April 10, 2023, the City Council authorized the distribution of a Request for Proposals\n(RFP) for professional consulting services for a consulting City Landscape Architect to\nprovide professional landscape design review consulting services. In response to the RFP,\nthe City received two proposals by the May 8, 2023 deadline. Ladayu Consulting Group\n(LCG) and Architerra Design were both selected for interviews, which occurred on May\n17, 2023. Based on LCG’s pricing, services proposed, qualifications, and experience, staff\nrecommends awarding a contract to LCG to provide the requested scope of services\noutlined in the RFP for a total amount up to and not-to-exceed $74,740 for the 5-year\ncontract period, with the potential option to extend the contract for two additional terms,\neach for five years. LCG, which has been in operation since 2015, specializes in providing\nprofessional services such as landscape review and LCG’s employees include a\nProfessional Landscape Architect with more than 45 years of experience in landscape\ndesign. LCG has recently provided landscape review services for Culver City, Gardena,\nand Compton.\nRecommended Action: City Council: 1) Award a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney, to Ladayu Consulting Group to serve as\na consulting City Landscape Architect providing professional landscape design review\nconsulting services in an amount up to and not-to-exceed $74,740; 2) Authorize the\npotential option to extend the contract for two (2) additional terms, each for five (5) years;\nand, 3) Direct Staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize the Council’s action.\n(M2M23-110)
