29. AUTHORIZATION TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH INTERAGENCY\nCOMMUNICATIONS INTEROPERABILITY SYSTEM, JPA – F2M5-70, C2M23-54,\nM2M23-111\nThe City of Alhambra contracts with Verdugo Cities, which includes thirteen agencies and\nis referred to as Area “C”, to provide fire and emergency medical dispatching services.\nThe use of the Interagency Communications Interoperability (ICI) System network is\n17\n6-26-23\nrequired for the purposes of operating fire resource communications by all Verdugo\nagencies that get dispatch. The agreement establishes a radio subscription fee of $20 per\nradio per month for 125 radios. Fees are due annually at the start of each fiscal year. The\nterm of the agreement is five years.\nRecommended Action: City Council approve an agreement, subject to final\nlanguage approval by the City Manager and City Attorney, with Interagency\nCommunications Interoperability System (ICI System), JPA in an amount not to exceed\n$150,000 commencing July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2028 for ICI radio system\nsubscription fees for Verdugo agencies radio users; and, direct staff to undertake the steps\nnecessary to finalize Council’s action.
