AWARD CONTRACT: REHABLITATION OF THE STORM DRAIN ON MONTEZUMA\nAVENUE – F2M23-40, N2M23-46, C2M23-49, M2M23-99\nOn April 24, 2023, the City Council approved the distribution of Notice Inviting Bids for the\nRehabilitation of the Storm Drain on Montezuma Avenue. On June 1, 2023, bids were\nopened by the City Clerk. Two bids were received in the amount of $130,045.00 and\n$180,388.67. Sancon Technologies Inc. submitted the lowest qualified bid at $130,045.00.\nStaff reviewed the bid submitted by Sancon Technologies Inc. and found it to be in full\ncompliance and conformance with the project specifications.\nRecommended Action: City Council award a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney, by and between the City of Alhambra and\nSancon Technologies Inc., for the Rehabilitation of the Storm Drain on Montezuma\nAvenue in an amount not to exceed $130,045.00; find the Rehabilitation of the Storm Drain\non Montezuma Avenue Project categorically exempt from California Environmental\nQuality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 (b); and, direct staff to\nundertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
