CONSIDERATION OF ORDINANCE NO. 933 FOR ZONING CODE AMENDMENT NO.\n2023-024 - RESIDENTIAL VEHICLE PARKING BACK-UP CLEARANCE\nOrdinance No. 933 Zoning proposes to amend BGMC Title 9 (Zoning and Planning Regulations)\nto remove Section 9.46.030 (Specialized Rear Yard Requirements) of Chapter 9.46 (Yard\nProvisions) and amend Section 9.38.070 (Motor Vehicle Maneuvering and Parking Space Layout)\nof Chapter 9.38 (Parking and Loading (off-street)).\nRecommendation:\nIt is recommended that the City Council:\nA. Find the proposed ordinance is exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental\nQuality Act (“CEQA”) pursuant to State CEQA Guidelines Section 15061; and\nB. Waive full reading and introduce Ordinance No. 933 by title only, amending Title 9 (Zoning\nand Planning Regulations) of the Bell Gardens Municipal Code (“BGMC”) to remove Section\n9.46.030 (Specialized Rear Yard Requirements) of Chapter 9.46 (Yard Provisions) and\namend Section 9.38.070 (Motor Vehicle Maneuvering and Parking Space Layout) of Chapter\n9.38 (Parking and Loading (off-street)).
