12. Vacation Rental Update and Recommendations 203 - 210\nChristina Newsom, Compliance Director\nRecommendation:\nDirect staff to bring forward regulations for consideration in the fall\nencompassing the recommendations of staff and the Sub-Committee on\nHousing Accessibility and Affordability to:\n Institute a citywide cap on STVR Licenses at 4% of total housing\nparcels with developed housing units.\n Restrict New Applications (not renewal of existing licenses) for an\nSTVR License from being within 500 ft, measured front door to\nfront door from existing STVR's in the City.\n Realign regulations on STVR's for Noise, Trash Cans and\nParking to the same regulations used for Residential Properties in\nthe City.\n Modify the Occupancy Regulations for STVR's to those presented\nin this staff report.\n Require Vacation Rental Platforms to:\no Remit TOT directly to the City.\no Remove Vacation Rental advertisements from their\nplatforms for illegal or non-compliant operators when\nrequested to do so by the City.\n Transition from contracted after-hours enforcement to in-house\nstaffing.\nStaff Report - SR-23-113 - Pdf
