12. Vacation Rental Update and Recommendations 203 - 210\nChristina Newsom, Compliance Director\nRecommendation:\nDirect staff to bring forward regulations for consideration in the fall\nencompassing the recommendations of staff and the Sub-Committee on\nHousing Accessibility and Affordability to:\n Institute a citywide cap on STVR Licenses at 4% of total housing\nparcels with developed housing units.\n Restrict New Applications (not renewal of existing licenses) for an\nSTVR License from being within 500 ft, measured front door to\nfront door from existing STVR's in the City.\n Realign regulations on STVR's for Noise, Trash Cans and\nParking to the same regulations used for Residential Properties in\nthe City.\n Modify the Occupancy Regulations for STVR's to those presented\nin this staff report.\n Require Vacation Rental Platforms to:\no Remit TOT directly to the City.\no Remove Vacation Rental advertisements from their\nplatforms for illegal or non-compliant operators when\nrequested to do so by the City.\n Transition from contracted after-hours enforcement to in-house\nstaffing.\nStaff Report - SR-23-113 - Pdf
