6.3 GATEWAY PRESERVE NEXT STEPS\nACTION:\n1) Establish the Gateway Project Fund from proceeds of the June\n2023 $326 million bond issuance and approve a budget\nappropriation in the amount of $5,838,500 from the Gateway\nProject Fund for site preparation and environmental review of the\nGateway Preserve and Residential Village.\n2) Establish a Capital Improvement Project and approve a budget\nappropriation in the amount of $669,852 from the Gateway Project\nFund for off-site utility work necessary for the Gateway Residential\nVillage and authorize the City Manager to execute a sole source\ncontract approval for reimbursement of this work to be performed\nby the Irvine Company.\n3) Approve a budget appropriation in the amount of $200,000 from\nGateway Project Fund to update the City's Recreation and\nResource Management Plan to authorize the creation of the\nGateway Preserve.\n4) Authorize staff to negotiate a contract amendment with the Irvine\nRanch Conservancy for the management of the Gateway Preserve.\n6.3
