14. AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR SOLID WASTE FRANCHISE AGREEMENT\nRecommendations:\n(1) Award the Franchise Agreement for the Collection, Transportation, Processing\nand Diversion of Recyclable Materials, Food Scraps, Yard Trimmings,\nConstruction, Transportation and Disposal of Municipal Solid Waste to CR&R\nIncorporated to commence on July 1, 2024 and continue for eight years;\n(2) Adopt the Resolution titled, “A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF\nTHE CITY OF LAGUNA BEACH APPROVING THE EXCLUSIVE\nFRANCHISE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LAGUNA BEACH AND\nCR&R, INCORPORATED FOR THE COLLECTION, TRANSPORTATION,\nPROCESSING AND DIVERSION OF RECYCLABLE MATERIALS, FOOD\nSCRAPS, YARD TRIMMINGS, CONSTRUCTION, TRANSPORTATION AND\nDISPOSAL OF MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY\nMANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT REPEALING ALL\nRESOLUTIONS INCONSISTENT HEREWITH”; and\n(3) Authorize the City Manager to execute the contract on behalf of the City with\nany non-substantive changes approved by the City Manager.\nStaff Report\nCOMMITTEE REQUEST
