d) REPORT PUBLIC HEARING AND ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE\n23-0382 TO AMEND HERMOSA BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE TITLE 15,\nCHAPTER 15.20 TO ADOPT THE 2023 LOS ANGELES COUNTY\nFIRE CODE WITH LOCAL AMENDMENTS\n(Building and Code Enforcement Official Guillermo Hobelman and\nCommunity Development Director Carrie Tai)\nRecommendation: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Conduct a public hearing on the proposed ordinance;\n2. Waive the full second reading and adopt by title only an ordinance of the City of\nHermosa Beach, California, adopting by reference Title 32, Fire Code, of the Los\nAngeles County Code, incorporating the California Fire Code, 2022 edition, with certain\nchanges and amendments; making amendments to said codes; amending Title 15 of\nthe Hermosa Beach Municipal Code; and finding the action exempt from the California\nEnvironmental Quality Act (Attachment 1);\n3. Direct the City Clerk to staff to print and publish the summary ordinance in a\nnewspaper of general circulation within 15 days following adoption and post it on the\nCity's bulletin for 30 days.
