5. FY24 California Highway Patrol - Cannabis Tax Fund Grant Program\n(CTFGP) Award Click to View\nRECOMMENDATION:\nThat the City Council takes the following actions:\n1. Authorizes the City Manager, or designee, to accept the FY24\nCalifornia Highway Patrol - Cannabis Tax Fund Grant Program\n(CTFGP) Award in the amount of $111,156.30, and to execute any\ngrant documents and agreements necessary for the receipt and use\nof these funds.\n2. Appropriates $111,156.30 of the FY24 California Highway Patrol -\nCannabis Tax Fund Grant Program (CTFGP) Award to be allocated\nas follows:\nProcure one fully equipped DUI Enforcement Trailer for $75,000\nto be used for traffic enforcement details including DUI/DL\nCheckpoints and DUI Saturation patrols;\nFund $30,636.30 in overtime costs associated with operating (4)\nDUI Saturation patrol enforcement details and (2) DUI/DL\nCheckpoints; and\nPurchase registration in the amount of $5,520 to cover the cost\nfor personnel to attend the Lifesavers Educational Conference.
