RESOLUTION NO.      - Award of one (1)-year Contract to HHJ Construction, Inc.:  Covering construction services for the Pilot Project of the Los Angeles International Airport Residential Sound Insulation Program, for cost not to exceed $4,287,000 \nPURPOSE: Approval of the contract will allow Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) to initiate sound insulation construction for 58 dwelling units within the Los Angeles International Airport Residential Sound Insulation (LAX-RSI) Program. Said 58 dwelling units comprise the Pilot Project in the City of El Segundo for the LAX-RSI Program that LAWA launched in September 2022. \nRECOMMENDATIONS: Adoption of the Report requesting that the Board of Airport Commissioners determine that this action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Article II, Section 2.f and Article III, Class 1 (1) of the Los Angeles City CEQA Guidelines; approve Award of Contract to HHJ Construction, Inc.; further approve appropriation of $4,287,000 for implementation of the project; and authorize the Chief Executive Officer, or designee, to execute said Contract after approval as to form by the City Attorney.
