2.V. RESOLUTION DENOUNCING THE UNITED\nSTATES SUPREME COURT’S RECENT RULING\nREGARDING LGBTQ+ RIGHTS [S. SHYNE, J.\nERICKSON, Y. QUARKER, J. DEL TORO]:\nThe City Council will consider adopting a resolution to\ndenounce the United States Supreme Court recent\nruling in 303 Creative LLC v. Elenis, affording a public\nbusiness the right to refuse service to members of the\nLGBTQ+ community.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Adopt Resolution No. 23-\n________ "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL\nOF THE CITY OF WEST HOLLYWOOD\nDENOUNCING THE UNITED STATES SUPREME\nCOURT'S RECENT RULING IN 303 CREATIVE LLC\nV. ELENIS, AFFORDING A PUBLIC BUSINESS THE\nRIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE TO MEMBERS OF\nTHE LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY"; and 2) Direct staff to\nsend a letter to President Joe Biden and send copies\nof the letter to Senators Dianne Feinstein and Alex\nPadilla, Representative Adam Schiff, California\nGovernor Gavin Newsom, CA State Senator Ben\nAllen, and CA Assembly Member Rick Chavez Zbur,\nand others as deemed appropriate.\nSTAFF REPORT
