2.P. CO-SPONSORSHIP OF AMERICAN BORN\nCHINESE FOUNDATION’S LOS ANGELES\nCHILDREN’S BOOK FESTIVAL [Y. QUARKER, J.\nÁ\nDEL TORO, M. MÁRQUEZ]:\nThe City Council will consider co-sponsoring the\nAmerican Born Chinese Foundation’s Los Angeles\nChildren’s Book Festival to be hosted in West\nHollywood Park on Sunday, September 17, 2023.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Approve a Co-\nSponsorship Agreement with the American Born\nChinese Foundation for the Los Angeles Children's\nBook Festival on Sunday, September 17, 2023 and\napprove the use of West Hollywood Park for the\nevent; 2) Authorize the City Manager to execute\ndocuments incident to the agreement; 3) Authorize\nthe use of the City name and logo on invitations,\nprograms, and other collateral materials; 4) Waive the\nFacility Use Fee, Special Event Permit fee,\nEncroachment fee, other ancillary fees, and parking\nat the 5-story parking structure for event volunteers\nand vendors (estimated $2,290); and 5) Direct the\nCommunications Department to utilize all appropriate\ncommunications tools to promote the event such as\nthe City's website and social media tools.\nSTAFF REPORT
