13. CONSIDERATION OF A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A LIST OF PROJECTS FOR FISCAL\nYEAR 2023-24 FUNDED BY SB 1: THE ROAD REPAIR AND ACCOUNTABILITY ACT OF\n2017\nSenate Bill 1 (SB1): the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017, was signed into law to\naddress transportation funding shortfalls statewide. SB1 established a Road Maintenance and\n5\nRehabilitation Account (RMRA) in the State Transportation Fund. A portion of the RMRA funds are\ndistributed to cities for basic road maintenance, rehabilitation, and critical safety projects on local\nstreets and road systems. The City Council must adopt a resolution identifying proposed projects\nto receive its estimated annual allocation of RMRA funds for Fiscal Year 2023-24.\nRecommendation:\nIt is staff's recommendation that the City Council by motion:\n1. Adopt the attached Resolution approving the list of projects for Fiscal Year 2023-24 funded\nby SB1: the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017 and rescinding Resolution No.\n2023-35; and\n2. Authorize Public Works staff to upload the Resolution with the list of proposed projects to the\nCalifornia Transportation Commission website.
