p) REPORT APPROVAL OF A REQUEST TO ESTABLISH A CLASS\n23-0430 SPECIFICATION FOR PUBLIC WORKS ASSISTANT\nSUPERINTENDENT, ESTABLISH THE POSITION IN THE\nPROFESSIONAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE EMPLOYEES GROUP,\nAND ESTABLISH A SALARY RANGE\n(Human Resources Manager Vanessa Godinez)\nRecommendation: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Approve the establishment of a class specification for Public Works Assistant\nSuperintendent;\n2. Approve the establishment of the position in the Professional and Administrative\nEmployees Group; and\n3. Approve the establishment of the five-step salary range for this position as $7,772 to\n$9,447 per month as approved in the FY 2023-24 budget.
