The Program\nCoordinator in Cannabis Business Division is budgeted in the General Fund. The\nAssistant Deputy Director and Principal Accountant positions are budgeted in the\nDevelopment Services Department Enterprise Fund.\nCouncil District(s) Affected: Citywide.\nProposed Actions:\n(O-2024-1)\nIntroduction of an Ordinance authorizing the exemption of an Assistant Deputy Director, a\nPrincipal Accountant, and a Program Coordinator position in the Development Services\nDepartment from the Classified Service, based on advisory review and favorable\ncomment by the Civil Service Commission on July 6, 2023. The Assistant Deputy\nDirector position will assist with overseeing the Business Operations and Support\nServices Division. The Principal Accountant position will oversee accounting activities\nwithin the permit tacking system, cashier services, and the City's financial system known\nas SAP. The Program Coordinator position will develop and coordinate the Cannabis\nSocial Equity Program in the Cannabis Business Division.
