3.5 IRVINE ANIMAL CARE CENTER EXPANSION AND\nRENOVATION PROJECT\nACTION:\n1) Approve the construction plans, specifications, and contract\ndocuments for the Irvine Animal Care Center Expansion and\nRenovation, Capital Improvement Project 361718.\n2) Approve the Engineer's Estimate, Construction\nContingency, and Project Funding Summary.\n3) Authorize staff to solicit competitive bids from prequalified\ncontractors and award the construction contract to the lowest\nresponsive and responsible bidder, in accordance with the\nCity's purchasing policies and procedures, within the approved\nproject budget.\n4) Approve and authorize the Mayor to execute a contract\namendment to the project architect, for additional Design and\nConstruction Administration Services, within the approved\nproject budget.\n5) Adopt - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE\nCITY OF IRVINE, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING THE INITIAL\nSTUDY/MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION AND\nMITIGATION MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM\nFOR THE IRVINE ANIMAL CARE CENTER AND\nOPERATIONS SUPPORT FACILITY EXPANSION AND\nRENOVATION\n3.5
