12A. CITY SPONSORSHIP REQUEST – FRIENDS OF FAMILIES FUNDRAISER FOR\nMAUI RELIEF\nPer the City’s Sponsorship Program, Friends of Families is requesting co-sponsorship\nof a fundraiser to support relief efforts for Maui. The sponsorship request is for in-kind\nconsideration of marketing and outreach. At its meeting on August 23, 2022, the City\nCouncil directed staff to bring all sponsorship requests to the Council for consideration\nuntil further notice.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\n1. City Council declare this project to be categorically exempt under the California\nEnvironmental Quality Act, Class 1, Section 15301c; and\n2. Determine the status of the Friends of Families sponsorship request for co-\nsponsorship.\nAugust 22, 2023
