VALENCIA INDUSTRIAL CENTER BICYCLE, PEDESTRIAN AND BUS STOP\nIMPROVEMENTS, PROJECT C1017 - DESIGN CONTRACT - This item awards\nthe design contract for the Valencia Industrial Center Bicycle, Pedestrian and Bus Stop\nImprovements project. The improvements are located along both sides of Avenue Scott\nfrom the proposed San Francisquito Trail connection to Rye Canyon Road, as well as\nalong the west side of Rye Canyon Road from Avenue Scott to Gateway Village and\nalong the southern side of Rye Canyon Road between Avenue Stanford and Avenue\nScott.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\nCity Council:\n1. Award a design contract to Encompass Consultant Group, Inc. for the Valencia\nIndustrial Center Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Bus Stop Improvements, Project C1017, in\nthe amount of $430,461 and authorize a contingency in the amount of $43,046, for a\ntotal contract amount not to exceed $473,507.\n2. Authorize the City Manager or designee to execute all documents, subject to City\nAttorney approval.
