Item No. 34. 2023-0556 CONSIDER APPROVAL OF BLANKET PURCHASE\nORDERS TO PUBLIC WORKS VENDORS FOR THE\nPURCHASE OF SUPPLIES AND MATERIALS IN THE\nIDENTIFIED NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNTS PER\nFISCAL YEAR (CITY COUNCIL).\nRecommendation: TAKE the following actions:\n1. WAIVE the contract requirements of the Carson Municipal Code\n("CMC") pursuant to Carson Municipal Code 2605(b)(1)(ii); and\n2. AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Manager to waive the formal\nbidding procedures as defined by the CMC Section 2610, utilizing\nCooperative Purchasing as allowed by the CMC Section 2611(g)\nand issue Purchase Orders for supplies and materials to the\nspecified vendors for the period July 1, 2023 through June 30,\n2026 for the not-to-exceed amounts identified.\n3. AUTHORIZE the City Manager to waive the formal bidding\nprocedures as defined by the CMC Section 2610 utilizing Sole\nSource Purchasing as allowed by the CMC Section 2611(e), and\nAUTHORIZE the Purchasing Manager to issue purchase Orders\nfor supplies and materials to the specified vendors for the period\nJuly 1, 2023 through June 30, 2026, for the not-to-exceed amounts\nidentified.\n1.\nAttachments: Vendor List for FY 2023_24 BPO for PW Operations CC Approval 9.5.23\nPURCHASING WAIVER 083023-JT KF
