ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE NO. 23-1073 AMENDING SECTION 2-1-2 OF THE\nTEMPLE CITY MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO CITY COUNCIL\nCOMPENSATION IN LIGHT OF SENATE BILL 329\nThe City Council is requested to adopt Ordinance No. 23-1073, amending Section\n2-1-2 “Expenses and Compensation” of Chapter 1 “City Council” of Title 2\n“Administration” of the Temple City Municipal Code. City Council compensation\nwill not take effect until the first pay period after the seating of a new\ncouncilmember or the confirmation of the new term of an existing councilmember\nin 2024.\nRecommendation: Waive further reading and adopt Ordinance No.\n23-1073, amending Title 2, Chapter 1, Section\n2-1-2 “Expenses and Compensation” of the\nTemple City Municipal Code.
